Wii fun

Christmas Day - a day to try out gifts and spend time not fighting with your siblings. Daniel got Mario Kart Racing for the Wii for Christmas and he and Macy tried it out. I also raced and my worst fears were realized. I stink at it. I was consistently in 12th place - which is last, dead last - but that didn't deter me from trying again and agin! Each race I finished last. Those corners are hard to navigate and there's so much to be distracted by how was I supposed to know if I was going in the right direction?? Then there's the bananas that you're supposed to avoid and the boxes that you're supposed to hit. Why was I able to run over the bananas (and spin out) and avoid hitting the boxes?? Hmmmm. The Wii people must have felt sorry for me because when I did manage to hit a box and get an extra bonus it was always "Bullet Bob". Bullet Bob speeds you up and takes control of your vehicle. Finally, someone was helping me out!! Alas, still I was in last place!! Then this past weekend Daniel begged me to play Kung Fu Panda with him on the Wii. That takes way more skill and you use the nunchuck and wii remote at the same time. My son knows I'm not coordinated enough to do that but he was patient with me, bless his little heart. I kept asking him how to do things and he kept telling me over and over how fight better. What a trouper!! No wonder he keeps asking if he can have a friend over. His mother is a loser!!
This is a picture of the game. I think this was Rainbow Road. Turned out kind of cool. And no, I've never done Guitar Hero. I can't imagine how badly I'd get boo-ed off the stage!! Really, I'd like to keep what little dignity I have left!
