National Night Out

August 5th, St. James again joined communities across the nation in celebrating National Night Out. Lots of people turned out and the planners again did a great job in having games, food and entertainment. The picture above is my friend, Debbie, (or Deb or Deborah or Debora) with her new camera. We are a kindred spirit when it comes to cameras and picture taking. Both are very important to us and we strive to capture every moment of our lives on film (or digital). I'm finally making friends with my Fuji and she's excited to play around with her higher-end Kodak. I often spend an hour or more at the machine in Wal-Mart going through my pictures and she orders online. She's been know to have pictures arrive in a box because there's so many of them. I totally understand. There will be a special place in heaven for us, Deb, with a one-hour photo right around the corner and scrapbook pages that put themselves together with just a thought!
Some familiar faces at National Night Out.
Maren - such a pretty girl and she looks great in black and white, don't you think?
Uh-oh. Elvis showed up. Yes, she's pointing in our direction and I'm not sticking around to see what he does about it!!
