Mark becomes the head bus navigator when the driver turns off his GPS. Why would he do that, you ask?? We really didn't know either. :-( Thank goodness Mark can read a map.
Off to the swamp tour! This wasn't part of the official youth gathering itinerary but Ashley scheduled a swamp tour time for the group before we left Minnesota. We added this as an extra fun thing for the kids (and adults!).

I intentionally took a picture of Cory's ear. This is what happens when you put chewed gum behind your ear and then forget that it's there and go to bed. One of his roommates was using a finger nail clipper to get it out of his hair the next morning. Luckily we had a licensed cosmetologist along and she had a safety scissors along. She was walking past their room when she heard someone say "I'll cut it for you" and decided to see what was going on. She was able to trim enough gum and hair from the left side of his head and make the right side look the same. Good thing she was with us. Good thing she heard what was going on. Lesson learned: never leave home without a licensed cosmetologist OR don't put gum behind your ear and then go to bed.
