After we got registered we made our first trek to the Super Dome for the nightly events. It was always a long hot walk and it's strange how it seemed to get farther away each night we went there. I also discovered that it's impossible to hurry teenagers and to get them to stay in a group. That must be a skill that's acquired after the age of twenty.

A street car. We never got a chance to ride one but they look cool. The header picture on my blog right now is a picture looking down Canal street while standing on the street car tracks. The palm trees look cool lining the tracks.

This was a building next to the Super Dome. There were some damaged glass panels and this was our first evidence of Hurricane Katrina damage.
