This is the sleeping area side of the dorm room. Emily' bed is lofted and Erin's is underneath it. They put the refrigerator under there, also. To the right of that is the loveseat.
Here is Emily and Erin sitting at their "study table". The room was very cozy and organized when we left. I think they will like having the extra space!
Saying goodbye again is hard. I gave Emily a long hug, reluctant to let go because I hated the thought of driving off and leaving her there again. My mind knows she'll be just fine and she'll be coming home before I know it, but my heart still tells me that she's my little girl and I'm supposed to take care of her. She couldn't understand why it was so hard for me to leave her and she reminded me that I have Macy and Daniel at home yet. Yea, I do, "but they aren't you", I told her. No one can take her place in our lives and one day she'll be feeling that way about her own child. It's hard to let go!
