was the date that John and I got married. Seems like a lifetime ago but yet I still feel like I'm only 24 years old! We celebrated 25 years of marriage yesterday and as we drove to Mankato to eat out, I was remembering the happy, excited couple that were uniting in holy matrimony and were destined to live happily ever after. Well, part of that happened! We did get married and we are still married. Did we live happily ever after?? The answer to that would be sometimes yes and sometimes no. I guess that's the way life and relationships are, aren't they? Ups and downs, good times and bad, sometimes the road is smooth and sometimes the road is rough. What's important, though, is that the love remains through all kinds of times. And I know that's true with our marriage. The love is still there.
Perhaps you noticed that there aren't any pictures with this post. I thought about scanning wedding pictures to snicker at. I thought about taking a "now" picture and posting it also. Obviously, I decided against it. Suffice it to say we don't look the same now as we did back then! Maybe I'll get brave and do it later.... maybe not....
