Daniel was one of two kids from his English class to win their classroom spelling bee and that meant he moved on to compete with the other winners from fifth grade. He did great, spelling his words correctly until there were only three kids left then he missed a word. I know he was nervous and anxious about being in front of all the fifth and sixth graders but he did a great job!
Waiting in line to spell his word.
Mrs. Stark from the Media Center gave the kids their words to spell. One fifth grade and one sixth grade teacher were listening carefully to each child spell their word and called them correct or incorrect. There were also three non-school judges in case there was a discrepancy. They take spelling bees seriously at Armstrong school! Everyone did a great job spelling some hard words as well!
