Valentine's Day

is fast approaching. I dread Valentine's Day. It's a holiday that merchandizers created as a money making holiday in which you show your significant other how much you love them. It really stinks when your significant other doesn't show affection. Like my husband. After 27 (or 28) Valentine's Day's, I've grown accustomed to being ignored. I even expect to be. But there's still a tiny hopeful spot in my heart that wonders if he'll do something this year.

But to my surprise, Daniel just asked me if he could buy me something for Valentine's Day. I don't know what prompted this but I told him that would be really special and yes, he could do that. Then he asked how much cards cost. I suggested he ask his dad for help. You can be sure I'll blog about the results. Who knows, maybe this will even get John thinking about it....
